About Tabitha & Wellspring Photography
What I love about my job is that it brings together so many of my favorite things: art, family, weddings, children, animals, and nature. Most of all I love connecting with others. It is important to me to make that connection during a photo session (and in life), and then to capture it through my lens. Getting to do that as my job is truly a blessing especially if I can capture significant moments for others that will last a lifetime.
Working on getting this session finished up but I just wanted to share some shots of these sweet kiddos!
The original plan was to do photos outside but it was SO windy and chilly that we decided to stay inside instead.
5 cousins, 1 room and 1 great big couch lead to lots of fun…

What are some of MY favorite things?
Movie night, lilacs, carrot cake, coffee, compassion, a good bottle of wine, hugs, being silly, Sam Cooke…oh, I could go on for days! But a few things that are at the TOP of my list include: babies, children and dogs. If you know me, you know if there is a baby around-I will most likely be hogging that baby as much as possible. If there are kids in the room; I'll hopefully have them laughing and making silly faces and telling me their favorite joke in no time. And if there is a dog near me I will be petting and scratching that pup until it thinks I'm its new best friend:)
With that said, I'd like you to meet Zander! He is 3 months old and was an absolute joy to photograph. Now this can be a tricky age and many photographers won't even schedule 3 month photos. A 3 month old baby is past the newborn stage, where we can get them all snug as a bug, curled up and sleeping so that we can capture the beauty of their brand new being, BUT they are also still a bit shaky and not yet to the 6 month stage (where they are typically sitting up and will laugh and coo easily.)
I love this age because they are just so wide-eyed and sweet. They are interacting with the parents so much and WAY more expressive than they are as newborns. Often they seem a bit overwhelmed by the sight of my camera (aren't most people? haha, jk!)
I love getting parents to hold them and be involved in the session and since babies change so quickly I can't imagine a parent NOT wanting to document all those changes (whether or not it's done professionally or with dad's Iphone.)
My point is: I don't think there is ever a "bad" age to make photographic memories of someone you love.
So, back to Zander- he's got this very gentle and relaxed demeanor, a head of super thick, soft, reddish hair and unbelievably lovely eyes.
I had to share at least 1 photo of his entire outfit…I LOVE IT!!!
What a sweet boy-his mama is just over the moon:)
Next up? Trinity & Talon!
I adore these two and it is NEVER a dull moment with them:) Talon has NO fear and Trinity is just pure joy. They are a total blast to be around and here are some of my faves from their fall session:

And last but not least…
I did some new photos for Assistance Dogs for Acheiving Independence (ADAI) which is now part of the Ability Center! I think ADAI is an incredible organization and am happy to help them by volunteering some of my time and talent. PLUS I get the added bonus of meeting some truly great people and many wonderful pups who are all into helping others.
Dogs doing laundry? Yes PLEASE! Maybe I can teach Charlie how to fold mine?

I've been photographing Jude since he was 3 months old and I just absolutely adore him. If you don't remember him from my blog, you really should go back and take a look at the cuteness that he brings to the world. He's such a sweet boy and so enjoyable to spend time with. Last year Jude's family welcomed a new addition to the family, baby Luke!
Luke is now 1 and I've been to their home several times since he was a newborn to document his first year. Jude seems to have adjusted very well to being a big brother and clearly loves Luke very much:)
Here are a few of Luke's newborn photos…LOVE that face and he had some of the best newborn hair I've seen!

Well… I've dusted off my blog and am ready to get back to it:) I have had a rather crazy past year and a half, and while I won't go into details I will say that there have been many changes in my life. 2012 was one of the best and worst years of my life and because it was that way, I learned some rather valuable lessons and appreciate life even more than ever before.
I took a break from blogging (amongst other things) to let myself breath a little, but am SO happy to be back to letting you know what I've been up to:)
I never stopped shooting (thankfully) and BOY was 2012 a busy year!
Shameful that I didn't share even one blog post with you!!!
So I will just jump right back in and try to catch you up on what I've been working on.
First up…the lovely baby Evelyn.
The sweetest face, TONS of hair and super squishy…who wouldn't fawn all over this little bundle of joy?

Next up: Sarah & Blake got hitched!!!!!!!!
These two had a baseball themed wedding (I LOVED IT!!!!!!)
We even got to go to 5th 3rd field for photos in between the wedding and the reception
(oh, the incredible things I get to do because of Wellspring:):)

I have limited openings for Spring so I wanted to let you know my current availability.

Adrienne and I have been talking for awhile now about doing photos of her whole family since she found out her sister was coming to town (with her fam) for Spring Break. We set it all up, planned to do outside pics, chose a location; we figured it had been nice weather so far and usually by mid-April we are past the snow and really cold days here in NW Ohio. We had a plan B in case of rain.
BUT the weather did NOT cooperate…AT all; rain wouldn't have been so bad, but we had SNOW. I like snow, but not in mid April:(
Oh well! Luckily we had Adrienne's parents' lovely home as our plan B location:)
Everyone was a blast to photograph and the cousins had such a good time together, it was easy to get smiling faces from them…
Here's the whole Fam (minus Adrienne's handsome hubby who was unable to be there, but I'm sure he'll love the pics:)

I have the pleasure of photographing sweet little Emme on Sunday and she was delightful:)
It always feels like such an honor for parents of itty bitty ones to trust me with their new babies (Emme was only 8 days old!) I really try to make the situation as comfortable as possible for everyone involved (other than having parents CRANK the heat up to crazy temps… that's not always so comfy, lol.)
I LOVE capturing the sweetness and newness of these tiny little people and
am always blown away that not much more than a week ago this little person was in the womb!
I just love how sleepy, cozy and ridiculously cute Emme is…
Mom & Dad are so in love with their little sweet pea:)
Who wouldn't be??? Look at that face…
Emme's Grandma made this AWESOME bedding (I think I want it for my bedroom!)
And I just couldn't resist this little sock monkey…

The first local charity is Serenity Farms in Luckey, Ohio.
SF is a farm that promotes animal assisted therapy for people with physical, mental or emotional disabilities.
I have done some volunteer work for them, grooming horses and cleaning stalls, but they could always use more help.

My last charity is an organization that I have been donating to over the past year.
I sponsor a woman named Mary who was a victim of rape & war crimes in the Congo.
A donation each month to Women For Women helps a war survivor rebuild her life and get educated.
What I love most about this program is that it teaches a victim how to help herself and how to make her life better.
